Tracy Dorn selected as ESP of the Year

Tracy Dorn, an academic intervention ESP at Oak View Elementary School, has been selected as Osseo Local 7325’s ESP of the Year for 2025-26. 

Dorn has spent 12 years of her career at Oak View, working as a volunteer coordinator along with a variety of other roles at the school in addition to her time as an ESP. 

“Tracy takes an empathetic approach to her work and forms strong relationships with students,” said a statement from Local Union 7325. 

She also plays an active role in the union, serving on negotiation committees and advocating for ESPs. 

Candidates for ESP of the Year are scored according to five criteria: professional practice, union involvement and advocacy, community engagement, personal achievement and enhancement of ESP image.

The award recognizes the contributions of ESPs to their school, community, and profession.
